HollywoodCGFX is written and edited by Frank Rivera. Frank spent ten years working in film production art departments, including two years at Paramount Pictures. He started this site to cover visual effects for people who want to know how the shot was actually made.
That background shapes the coverage here. Posts focus on the pipeline and the craft behind a shot, not just the finished frame. Sources include studio press materials, vendor documentation, artist interviews, and conference papers.
