The Prey movie, released by Hulu in 2022, is a prequel to the Predator franchise that began with the 1987 original. Set in the Comanche Nation roughly 300 years ago, it follows Naru (Amber Midthunder), a skilled young hunter who must protect her tribe on the Great Plains from an early, highly evolved Predator armed with advanced alien weaponry.
The cast is excellent, with actors like Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, and Dane DiLiegro giving stellar performances. The story is well-written and fast-paced, and the direction, by Dan Trachtenberg, is superb. If you’re looking for a good thriller to watch, be sure to check out the Prey movie.
