If you liked Cowboys & Aliens, Avatar and shit loads of visual fx, then this movie is for you. This John Carter trailer previews Pixar director Andrew Stanton’s live-action debut, adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Barsoom novels. The nine-foot-tall Tharks, including Tars Tarkas, were performed via motion capture by actors including Willem Dafoe on stilts, with Double Negative, MPC and Cinesite splitting the alien-world effects work between them.
